Ms. Splosion Man reviews

Ms Splosion man is the sequel to Splosion man who remains, unfortunately, an excluded from the Xbox 360. The scenario is limited to saving Splosion man, it is not useful to have made the first to enjoy his sequel. We follow the wanderings of Madame I blow everything in explosant, but only three times in a row except elements of the décor allowing to do more. And, this is the genius of this game: a gameplay of extreme simplicity. Two directions and a button to explode. The level design is in total harmony with this simplicity to offer a hundred levels with a lot of elements that bring a welcome variety. Barrels, bombs, trampolines, cars, Rails,... The developers pushed the delirium very far in the girly side of the character (mimics, dialogues and songs). The bonuses are also very nice and unlockable with the "mint" earned by completing the levels. The solo mode allows to progress in 50 levels and 3 worlds with different mechanics. There are two difficulties: normal with checkpoints and hardcore who does not forgive any error in the level. There is a scoring system based on time and the recovery of a pair of shoes per level. In addition, some levels have secret exits that will unlock new levels. You have to redo that level to unlock the others. Each world ends with a boss (the last one is just huge). The game is to be categorized in the difficult category because it requires a good dose of patience and reflexes to get to finish the levels, even without looking for scoring. The last world being the pinnacle with some passages demanding extreme precision. After that, it is difficult to determine the life span. For my part, I put a dozen hours to see the end with a high degree of satisfaction. In non-fatal flaws, but cumbersome: I find navigation between the laborous levels. I would have preferred the opportunity to go directly to the last level when I take back a game rather than having to cross the map of the world. The very girly side can annoy in the long run and even if it is totally assumed, I can understand that it ruins some of the fun. The multiplayer mode is designed to be done to two or more. Indeed, the levels are very different from the solo mode and allow to discover the game in a new day. There, where the solo forces to go fast, the multiplayer puts much more on observation, cooperation and coordination to get to the end of the level. It is also composed of 50 levels, 3 worlds, secret exits and the mechanics of the solo are adapted. The bosses were discarded: too hard to adapt? They are not lacking and the level design remains excellent. For my part, I know my game partner very well and this is not the first game that we do together (on this kind of game, it's a real plus). There is a counting system to trigger the explosion together and it is necessary to communicate well to get ahead. The developers thought of the player who did not have a game partner including the 2-player mode, a gamepad. Each stick is dedicated to moving one of the characters. I just tested, but it's really very difficult to coordinate both hands. I do not even imagine on the last levels. This is still a nice addition. For the time being, the multiplayer is much more affordable than the solo even if the lifespan is relatively equivalent. The time spent to spend a level on the solo is compensated by the time spent to see what to do to access the next checkpoint. In summary, I broke the solo and the multiplayer by its completely delusional universe, its level design with small onions and its simple and efficient gameplay. Has a good lifespan for the one who has the patience to go to the end. The game is quite difficult and some passages can make Rager: tell your Entourage that the joysticks fly low when you play this game. One last tip for multiplayer: don't run your gamepad on your partner because it's getting different just before the end of the level. Be conciliating and do it at the end of the game.
