Mystery Case Files: 13th Skull Collector's Edition reviews and comments

Mystery Case Files Series began as usual Hidden Objects: You have pictures, they need to look for a number of items listed. Well, except that, the pictures were not from the Balda, and were connected by the general plot-the investigation of some detective case. 13th Skull-A representative of a new, modern interpretation of the genre-intermediate between the original Hidden Objects and the classic Point-n-Click Adventure. Frankly speaking, this hybrid does not seem particularly attractive to me, but, as practice shows, it is the most common. In this game, our nameless detective arrives in an unnamed southern U.S. state. Well, you know, voodoo, swamps, crocodiles, pirates--the whole gentleman's set. Here, judging by the received letter, the owner of the old "haunted House" these ghosts and dragged. In the process of searching will have to solve a lot of problems and puzzles, well, and, of course, without Hidden Objects can not do. In The pros of the game is that the set of puzzles is quite decent. A few even made me think. The Plot also does not disappoint-it is not so skeletal as it often happens in this kind of games, and he even manages to tell a coherent story. Though with inevitable logical holes-the screenwriter, probably, again were underpaid. Hidden Objects Standard-no worse and no better than the average in the house. And for the most clever and attentive there is a meta-puzzle: 20 coats of arms, just scattered on the game and 10-gold, for finding which will have to carefully study each picture and take non-standard actions (I, incidentally, found only 2 out of 10). Cons Two:-First, the two parts of the game are not matched with each other. Hidden Objects-scenes just randomly appear here and there, by incomprehensible logic. And sometimes they do not correspond to the style: what is in the tunnel under the cemetery, which has not been visited a hundred and fifty years, find a plastic rod and a cell phone? -And Secondly, the game constantly leads the hand. Every moment of time you are told what they want from you right now (with a part of the goals, especially from the middle of the game, it is quite obvious that you appear out of nowhere. Apparently, our hero is psychic). And Besides, if it does not help, the game has very transparent hints (thanks though, three-level), and for the most impatient there is a complete passage. Yes, right in the game. If with Hidden Objects It eliminates the routine and allows you to pass the moments "Yes where is this umbrella?!", then the "puzzling" part of it spoils a bit, as for me. I didn't use Any hints. In General-a worthy representative of the genre, it is worth taking (though 250 for the HO for me a bit much. Well, so there are discounts).
