First.... I hope you have a good Dentist ... Because the Game is sugar-sweet. Everything from the Graphics, to the Sound, the Voiceover and of course the Characters really everything seems to be taken straight from a pastel Children's Book. Even the * Puzzles * are easy to solve in most cases, at least for slightly older Kids. And of those there are masses to discover. Unfortunately, there is also the Weak Point of the Game. In almost every Picture, various Parts have to be brought together. Some of them are already ready in the next Picture, but most of the time you have to go on some pictures, or they can only be solved much later in the Game. As in many other Games, there is a Card for this. On this are marked all the Places where there is still something to be done ... ALL, even those you can't solve yet. It also takes a While for you to use this Card for quick and travel one more Time. A very good Memorial where you can use what is needed, otherwise a lot of pointless back and forth is called for. And that's why this Game fails for me. I think it's too demanding for Kids, whereas it's far too easy for Adults (and the Whole thing around it really gets on my Nerves).

I have played many Hidden Object Games of all Quality classes, this is one of the more beautiful ones I would recommend. The Backgrounds and Scenes are beautifully drawn, the Figures have matching Voices and everything is worked out with many loving details. It's a lot of Fun to look at the Characters and Pictures. The Story is relatively typical and nice for fantasy Hidden Object games, you can't expect an incredible Depth, but these Kinds of Casual Games don't want to captivate with a Story, but offer entertaining fun for in between and Relax. In Terms Of content, it already offers a big World with many locations to Explore, it is definitely one of the more extensive Hidden Object Games, although you must not lose sight of the "Casual" character of the Game again and you can't expect 10 + Playing Time. The Music remains shallow but apt and unobtrusive in the Background. The Only "Shortcoming": What might bother some Players (but not me) is that Nearwood is more a Puzzle Game than a classic Hidden Object. There are very few Scenes to Search for, but more Point & Click and Puzzle Insoles. The Search Images are also designed in such a Way that you have to search for Objects whose Outline is drawn out. So The classic "Search in every Scene what's on your List" is omitted here. If you're looking rather than puzzling, you better buy another Game. For Puzzle Fans, this is just the Thing. The Puzzles are colorfully mixed, you have to push pictures, Put opposite Walls in the right Sequences, build Paths, etc. Nearwood does not have to hide qualitatively from the Similar Representatives of the Genre as the "Otherworld" or "Awakening" series. It was a lot of Fun for me.
