Negligent Necromancer

Made for the 125th Trijam is 3 hours using Pygame.

You're a necromancer that's been preparing for years to take over the world with an army of the dead. You've managed to find a spell that will reanimate skeletons, the only problem is that you forgot to actually check the specifics of the spell, and it turns out it can only summon one skeleton that isn't under your control, but you still have an idea to make this work. You get better at casting the reanimation spell every time you use it, so you just have to keep trying until you're satisfied with how strong it is, and then figure out how to get it under your control. but just how strong is strong enough?
