NEON STAR!

Neon-themed fast action skill / endurance game! - Simple! (Heh heh...) ....Go for the maximum score!

Controls are simply LEFT or RIGHT mouse buttons to move clock-wise / counter-clock-wise while dodging the incoming NEON GEOMS, and press or hold the OPPOSITE mouse button to use TURBO/BOOST to get through gaps, quickly build up your multiplier etc.

Other controls:-

(LEFT/RIGHT Cursors + SPACE for turbo,  if you prefer keyboard control!)

Game can be started using either mouse button, SPACE, RETURN, or ENTER.

'V' to toggle main visualisations and score combo info!

'S' to toggle Sound FX.

'M' to toggle Music.

'T' to Skip Music Track (Chilled or Thumping!).

'H' (On title screen) - advance HELP pages if you're a fast reader...  ;)

PS - 'ALT+ENTER' will toggle true FULL-SCREEN playing mode, for immersive playing, on the WINDOWS version!

PPS - The browser version has a dedicated on-screen button to also allow a none-expanded FULL-SCREEN mode.  :)

NOTE! - NEON STAR saves your best score locally, and also tells you your highest multiplier attained during your CURRENT game, for progress checking and bragging rights!

QUICK TIPS:-

The longer that you hold down a direction button (even via swapping - see below!), the higher the current multiplier will get!

You can quickly SWAP directions, by releasing the current DIRECTION mouse button, WITHOUT releasing the turbo button, and then re-apply turbo by now using the released mouse button!

When it gets busy, you'll find that you can get HUGE scores if you have a high multiplier, and dodge several hazards at once! (i.e. they hit the inside of the ring at once)

* WARNING! *

As the game progresses, hazards come faster and faster, up to a maximum!

As your MULTIPLIER gets REALLY high, you'll notice that the ring may be warped by the sheer force of your awesome playing ability, and will also slooooowly shrink to a minimum size the longer that you survive! - be careful!...  ;)

*IMPORTANT!* - I know that there's some controversy regarding many entries not being specifically created during this jam, but if this is important to you, I can 100% confirm that my game has ONLY been designed / created at the start of this jam... ...ie. it's a brand new game that didn't exist in any form (not even in my head!), prior to this jam!  :)
