Neverout reviews

Very good puzzle. Mechanics is very simple-you need to get out of the room, and you can only change the direction of gravity inside the room. With all the ensuing consequences. But Despite the simplicity, the gameplay turned out to be very exciting and quite diverse because of constantly changing restrictions and conditions. Stylistically very reminiscent of the movie "Cube". In General, the puzzles are simple, although there were a couple of moments where I hung up. The Passage takes 2-3 hours. Impressions remained positive. Recommend.

Neverout by Setapp Sp. Z o.o. is a puzzle escape game. The Player is located in Neverout in what appears to be a huge cube-like complex, with the individual narrow Also cube-shaped rooms connected only by one exit at a Time. The Task seems simple, you just have to go through the Exit and at some point you are free ... However, it is not so easy to find the right way away, because of course the Exits are not just right in front of the Player. You Quickly find out that the cube-like space behaves in the same way as a Cube. If one Presses against one of the Walls, for example, the whole Construct tilts in this Direction. Suddenly, the Exit is on the Ground and loose Boxes slip along the Wall into other Positions. This opens up new Ways of reaching the Exit and mastering the Level. This not only works on the Walls, the Room also tilts when, for example, you press against Grids that stand freely in the Room. On the Way through the different Rooms in the Cube, of course, the Puzzles become steadily more complicated and with "once the Room tilting to the left and twice still right" it is soon no longer done. Teleport Stations, Grids, Magnetic Fields, etc. help or make it more difficult for the Player to reach the next Exit. Graphically, Neverout is rather average, but the Game idea and atmosphere, which was clearly inspired by the B-Movie "The Cube," fit together very well and it's Fun to dice through the many Levels. What you should consider as a User of PC VR glasses, however, Is the Fact that Neverout is a MobileVR title. It's supposed to be one of the better GearVR Games. Although the Title has already appeared on the PSVR and recently even on the Switch, the Developers have unfortunately not switched the Control to these Systems. This is most noticeable in the Movement. We can only move from one Tile to the next forward. To do this, we can turn left or right via Snapturn. Whether we press the Trigger or the Grip button of the respective Controller. There is no free Movement. That is a great pity. Once you get used to this somewhat inconiable Control for PCVR glasses, Neverout goes well out of hand. If there were at least free Teleportation, Neverout would also be an unqualified Recommendation on PC. Even so, it's a great Puzzle for several Hours of Knob Fun.
