Early Access Review where To start... TOTAL DISASTER. No Turning Back is, as the subtitle says, a roguelike adventure. You will take control of a hero and you will have to pass rooms in a random-generated dungeon. The game has several problems... The mechanics is the classic roguelike, the inventory resets every game, except for some bonuses that unlock. There are various items to collect, including weapons, potions, shields and meat. The rooms are randomly generated and you won't be able to move until it's free from enemies. The fight is done very badly. The Hitbox are very inaccurate and do not understand well when attacking and as if not enough the cooldown of each attack is absurd (each weapon has several cooldown, but also the lower I felt really excessive). It often happens that the enemies Spawnano under you affecting "free", very annoying. Besides, if the enemy on duty started his attack, no matter if you kill him, the attack will start anyway. I've often seen bullets from dead bodies... The game in general is very slow. There is No way (or at least I have not found it) to see how much experience you miss at the next level, the Mana bar only loads through potions that are almost impossible to find. The game does not support the controller, so you will have to use keyboard/mouse to play. The Main menu is quite anonymous and the start screen is an incomprehensible disaster. As if that were not enough, the game often crashes. And a crash in this game means you have played the game for nothing, as everything will reset at the end. In a game (as already mentioned) with a very slow progression this is even more frustrating... So much so that made me lose patience and I'm about to uninstall it. Music and sound effects acceptable... Nothing impressive... I would say almost better the sound of the game itself! The graphics are the classic Computery in retro style that I personally like very much (and that is, along with the genre, which had attracted me to this game). Achievements are buggy and have never been (apparently) settled, despite the promise of the developer. Ultimately, the game is still in early access and has been abandoned. It is a shame to think that there is a game left incomplete (and hurt!!) still for sale. Don't Throw your money here!
