Norse Realms

A Jamination5 Game

Norse Realms is an action rogue-like game where the player switches between characters and realms with the purpose of defeating the evil giants. Every input method does other things that harmonizes with other mechanics to create quality game flow. Health, shield and movement buffs are shared between characters. Randomization is reduced to give the player more sense of control and less frustration. Traps are set in a way to get the player out of the comfort zone and to prevent exploitable or game flow destroying player tactics.

Controls

• WASD     -    Movement keys, character passive
• LMB        -    Shoot, weapon passive
• Left Shift -    Dash, character skill
• Alt + F4   -    Get out of the game

Characters

Axeman

• Shoots slow projectiles, hits hard.
• Weapon passive: Creates a circle of spinning axes.
• Character passive:  Builds up shield.
• Left Shift: Low range dash, creates a spot that axeman can teleport back to.

Archer

• Shoots fast projectiles, hits low
• Weapon passive: Shoots a powerful arrow that goes through enemies
• Character passive: Gains movement speed
• Left Shift: Dashes long range, creates a black hole that sucks in enemies for a short time.
