Number Rescue
About
Number Rescue is a game I made for my little girl. It's a puzzle game with simple pointandclick elements but mainly a series of mathematics-based puzzles to solve. With my very limited artistic abilities I tried to approximate the style of the Mr Men books and couple this with the narrative style of Danger Mouse.
Plot:
Those pesky twins, Sin and Cos, have kidnapped all the numbers! Can you help Agent Tan rescue them?
Features:
- An educational game aimed at 6-8 year-olds (more or less)
- Fully voiced
- Contains a helping of terrible jokes
- And even worse singing
- Some randomisation of puzzles to add replay value and learning points for the kiddies.
Review (by AGS member Stupot+):
TRIGO-WARNING!! This game contains maths.
This charming little number was made as an educational maths game aimed at kids. While the screenshot tells you everything you need to know about the graphics, it's done its job in the fun department. The game follows agent Tan trying to track down the evil twins Sin and Cos who have kidnapped a bunch of numbers (presumably for multiplication purposes). He goes off on a tangent in order to rescue the numbers and to help him you must solve a number of maths-based problems. I actually got one wrong and am now considering reapplying for primary school.
