Oblivious Oliver

Meet Oliver. A young boy with an extremely deadly citrus allergy.

Oliver has always been quite oblivious to the world around him, but that usually didn't matter, since when you're oblivious you live in a bubble, and thankfully he always had a bubble to protects him from danger.

Just your normal guardian bubble.

However, one day the bubble let him wander off for too long, and Oliver ran right into THE EVIL CITRUS PLAINS! The bubble tried to get him out, but he was out of its control. Now the bubble must protect the unaware Oliver before he meets an unsuspecting end from a hoard of oranges lemons and limes!

These foes fly through the sky on a straight path, hoping to hit Oliver in the process. They dash towards Oliver and home on his location, but if they come in contact with the bubble, they will disappear. They may seem friendly and don't try to target Oliver at first, but if he gets too close, all of the limes nearby will go into a rage, and run towards him until he either gets away from them, or at least one of them hits him.

Made as an entry for the GMTK 2020 Game Jam.
