I find this game much less alive than the previous ones in 2D.
The camera is badly oriented and difficult to orientable, the movements of the characters are chaotic, walking or running is unstable according to the directions, can even stop the character!
Okay guys, I can tell you that this game is a bomb even if we haven't played on the old Gen. For those who played it on Xbox or PS2 and that you liked it, throw yourself on the PC version! It has been really well optimized and it works well. Clearly I always hit bars on it! Unfortunately-or fortunately for other-, it is only in English and it's hot to understand Munch in the cutscenes;)
Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee released exclusively for Xbox is also available for PC after Years. For me Personality is one of the best Nostalgia ever play. It has a Pack Story, Rätzel and is Humorously designed. You play 2 Characters with different Abilities where you have to get to go. It has 2 ending that is associated with Karma. So Save everyone!
I can only highly recommend the Game.
The bad thing about the PC Version, however, is the Language that is only available in English!!! A lot is not talked about and everyone who can say hello, waiting as work in English can tell now should not fail to pick it up. There are no Patches for it either, but the game will get you ... It's worth it!
Welcome back to the world of Oddworld, always loyal to himself. The dialogues are tordant, the reactions of the characters are memorable (there is always the fart but it is not used in this adventure) without forgetting the management of the lyrics (which is simplified compared to the previous panes), the story always identical. We order Abe to save Mudokons. On the other hand, in Munch's Oddysse, one can also take control of Munch, a Grabbit, kind of marine species, to save also the last eggs.
The opportunity offered by the two people is very well managed. Both characters are complementary and it is necessary to juggle the two regularly to overcome a plateau. As of habiture, to save all the Mudokons, it is not obvious. It adds a good challenge to the game.
On the other hand, the move to 3D, which is a great idea by the way, is Belgian badly apréhendé. Indeed, when passing a pure platform where it is necessary to jump, the management of the camera is risky and the easy passage on the paper quickly get complicated. Fortunately there is quick backup to create checkpoints. Being able to play in cooperation would have been a real plus given that the two characters must always arrive together at the final point to finish the painting.
For Oddworld fans, this is a good game in the continuity of precedents. For newcomers to Oddworld, you will have a great time in a unique universe!
