One Dim Dash

Controls: Left/Right, A/D to speed up and slow down.

An experimental game that takes place in one dimension. This means that movement can only happen in one direction. Therefore, there is no jumping, steering or anything. The only aspect of control is the speed. You are to avoid obstacles by matching their speed and get as high of a score as possible as you dash along a one-dimensional line through space.

The idea started while brainstorming game ideas and considering pros and cons regarding 2D and 3D games. As a joke, a 1D game was proposed and then it turned more and more serious. Here is the product of that joke.
