Product received for free More in the Retro Curator A few Info before I get started: Onimod Land is a Real-time strategy game Release: 2005 (Developed from 1998 to 2005) Graphic style: 2D isometric Resolution: Any (Can be selected even until 1920x1080p) Technology & Engine: C + + And Assembly Gameplay & Mechanics The Interface is very reminiscent of Age of Empires 1, with some things of its own. It's just a Mix of all, but still with something of its own. As in other RTS at the End of the 90s, here too is building the base building, developing Units and Crafting resource. To attack the Fine. This is not new, yet it has its own Charm and is not a re-textured AoE Clone. There are 5 Campaigns and 30 Single-player cards included. In addition, it comes with modern Resolution and the Steel Version also contains an English Voiceover (Not as in the Original, only Russian) Furthermore, the Online servers were replanted and work! Graphics 2005 is a very late year for this 2D Sprite era, yet you have to bear in mind that it is an Indie developer and at the Time 2D Sprites were also used (See Cossacks, Blitzkrieg etc) Sound The Soundtrack is great! It stands out with lots of quieter Electro songs. The Sound Effects of the different Units were also well adjusted. And as already mentioned, here is an English Voiceover that the Fanbase had already been waiting for. (Tight. Texts, of course, too) In conclusion, It is reminiscent of all RTS of the 90Er/in early 2000.-C & C, AoE1, Empire Earth and Warcraft. DENNOCH IT's not a bad Clone, but something of your own! The Developer also responds super and quickly to Problems and Bug Fixes. This 2005 version is therefore not just a Steam Release, but a really well revised version. Every RTS Fan of the old Sprit Era and every Retroholic should definitely take a Look at it. ;)

Onimod Land is an Oldschool 2D RTS in isometric projection. The Game was developed since 1998. As Far as I understand, the game was released in 2005 and received not the most flattering reviews. In Those days came out many projects that became classics and the benchmark of the genre. To Compete with them simple developers with modest budgets was unrealistic. Since then, The game continued to work. Now we can evaluate the improved and modified version of the "game from the past". On tastes do not argue, and to estimate old games it is possible differently. Below is my personal opinion about the game with which you can agree or not. I'll Start with what I liked. Pleased that such an old game reworked under high resolutions. The Game immediately picked up the necessary graphic settings. Switching and tuning did not have to. The Graphics, though sprite, but looks great in large resolution, the image smoothly podstroilos under the screen without black stripes and frames. Pleased that the menu can adjust the speed of the game, screen flipping, etc. Many old games are too fast on the modern hardware, and there are no options to customize them! There will be no problems with Onimod Land. I Liked the graphics, design, detail and variety. Everything looks great. You Can see that you worked on every sprite! The Mechanics of building and managing units with the clamping of the left mouse button and the choice of the desired graphic icon seemed to me not very convenient. What did not like it is beyond my logic the superiority of savages with bows over technically advanced units. They immediately destroy the arrows tankers-collectors of resources and armed soldiers. It seems that the game has a very weak tactical element. Crush The rivals here are the amount, not tactics and pumping. Apparently, therefore, the game has no limit on the number of units. I prefer the strategy when you can do Sally in small detachments, not to crush the enemy with mass, Shtampuju troops. But that's for my taste. In General, beautiful, detailed and interesting "game from the past." Classic RTS for lovers of 1990x-2000s strategies. You can read other reviews and subscribe to our curators.
