Operation Complete Reboot

Gameplay:

Operation Complete Reboot is a strategic top down shooter where you must make your way through a procedurally generated, direct level, where you must fight your way off the enemies while keeping one step ahead of the falling zone, also known as death.  The further you go, the more enemies you must face, while your own strength remains the same, therefore more emphasis on quick reaction time and skill.  

As the amount of enemies increase, the amount of ammo needed increases as well, so you must decide either to collect ammo at the risk of being caught in the falling zone, or go as fast as you can forward at the risk of being slaughtered by your enemies.  This is where the strategy of Operation Complete Reboot comes into play.

Plot Description:

Operation Complete Reboot takes place in a Windows Laptop that has been intentionally bugged and corrupted by Malware Viruses.  Windows Defense System had attempted to hold off the Malware Infestation, but to no avail.  Now the only hope of saving the laptop is the singular code: Operation Complete Reboot.

You are the last Windows Defense System Soldier with the task of delivering Operation Complete Reboot to the Central Processing Unit in the heart of the Malware Infestation.  The fate of the PC is in your hands.

Game Controls:

WASD/ARROWS : Move.

MOUSE CLICK : Shoot.

1 : Use Basic Ammo.

2 : Use Sniper Ammo.  

How to Play:

The aim is to reach the centre, but to do that you must defend against Malware Soldiers.  Collect Ammo Chips to get more ammo.  Basic Bullets do less damage, but are more common.  Sniper Ammo does more damage and shoots through enemies.  Beware, you must go fast before the Malwares Corruption destroys the floor underneath you.  If you get stuck, you can also break blocks if need be.  Once you arrive at the centre, you must hold off the waves of enemies for a bit before the reboot is complete.

Modes:

There are two modes:  Staged and Endless.  Staged is the main mode, where you must get to the centre in a procedurally generated map, while in endless (which is unlocked after completing Staged), the objective is to get as far as possible.

Other Stuff:

This is my first Game Jam game, so it is not perfect, be prepared to experience minor bugs.  Well, I guess you could say that is because of the Bugs planted by the Malware Infestation.  Also Settings is just a button that does nothing at all.
