You are a wolf. 

You wake up in a strange gravel-filled field on the massive edge of a cliff. Unable to remember anything, you accept the help of a mysterious, but kind and energetic lion. Now you know that you aren't alone and other seven people share your same state of mind. And none of you know where you are.

Explore a strange new (or familiar?) place surrounded by questions. Search for answers in the desolate facilities, learn the vast history of the world and find a way to escape in the process.

Dive deep into eight characters from vastly different backgrounds, band together against the amnesia to unravel the secrets within this strange place and even within yourselves. What kind of life awaits in this strange place? Only time will tell...

Our Shared Lie is a mystery visual novel in a Teslapunk world with bits of mythological fantasy and a whole bunch of political intrigue mixed in.

Our Shared Lie is a mostly kinetic visual novel with a few branching parts, and some occasional fan service. This release features no explicit content, but the full project is intended for 18+ audiences. Different routes and NSFW content will be added to the game eventually. 

The game WILL address heavy topics such as death, suicide, depression, anxiety, and existential dread. If you are suffering from depression or are easily overwhelmed by these topics, I advise you to exercise caution when reading the contents of this VN.

English is not my first language, so I deeply apologize in advance for any mistakes I make. In case you find bugs you can report them in private message on twitter or just post the comment here on itch.io.

- Windows: Download and extract the OurSharedLie PC.zip file. Launch the game with the OurSharedLie.exe file.

- Linux: Download and extract the OurSharedLie PC.zip file and launch a new terminal window. Drag the OurSharedLie.sh file into your terminal window and hit enter to launch the game.

- MacOS: Download and extract the .zip file and launch the 'OurSharedLie' application file.

- Android devices: Download the .apk file to your compatible Android device, install using file browser or your downloads window. Launch via the 'Our Shared Lie' icon in your app drawer.

Installation Notes:

- Android users may need to enable 'Install from Unknown Sources' setting in order to complete install.

- Do not attempt to make any modifications or alterations to the OurSharedLie install directory. Doing so may cause technical issues or software instability.
