Ouroboros (itch) (Reprobus)

In an effort to convince myself that I could make even the most rudimentary game, I took on the challenge of creating a fully realized version of an arcade classic in the space of a week.

Snake was a game I always appreciated and it seemed like a not unreasonable challenge. Turned out I was right. Hooray, me!

Enjoy the following features:

• A ridiculous difficulty curve!
• High scores spelled as "Hi Scores"!
• Delicious mice!
• Programmer art!
• 4-bar chiptunes that start out charming but quickly become grating!

A bit about the power ups:

• Eat all the mice to finish the level.
• Eat skulls for points.
• Eat(?) pentagrams to slow down and chop off a chunk of your tail.

Controls, if you need them:

• Keyboard arrows control the snake.
• Escape pauses the game.
• Alt+F4 force quits the game.
