Outbreak: The New Nightmare reviews

Early Access Review This Review refers to Single-player fashion. O:TNN is clearly a Resident Evil clon who invokes the early Games of the Series. This is visible and audible in every Moment of the Game and in every Sound. Since this is an Early access title, one should not place very high Expectations in a consistent Playability, but O:TNN surprised me POSITIVELY in this Regard. There is certainly one or the other hakely Spot, but nothing that could be described as "unplayable." The Atmosphere aligns very much with RE2, in my Opinion, even if you shouldn't expect cracking Puzzles. These are limited to Slip searches, some Number Games and (relatively low) Backflipping. So exactly what you know from the early RE games. The Graphic here is roughly in the Range between the Gamecube releases of RE/RE0 from the Beginning of the Millennium and the Remasters of both Parts from recent Years. Armament for the ambitious Zombie Hunter is available. The Basic Weapons (Pistole/Schrot/Riffle) are Usually present at least twice per Card, the Pistol often more often. Heavier Weapons are only available once per Map. I found the Colt (so far) only in number Shally-sealed Suitcases. There is one card at a Time, which is fully visible from the Beginning. Gameface positions are marked in advance. Items are entered as soon as you run the appropriate Rooms in a certain Radius around them. However, in the case of economical Use and one or the other use of Fighter weapons, the grenade launcher/Colt is not absolutely necessary (in The SP) if there is enough Space and zombie's adjusted Ways to evade and keep distance. The Fact that 5 of the playable 6 Figures have only 4 Pocket Seats ensure that the Character has to go a lot of way through the Heilitems and Ammunition packs alone. The Opponents are still a bit simple at the moment and have a fairly small Range of Variations. There is very little to be exposing to the AI of the Opponents themselves. Not too fast, not too slow. Quite feasible if you don't run out of ammunition;) The View is the isometric Perspective known from the old RE parts. The Control was Done without Problems with the XBox controller. The Sequence of the Game is not strict, i.e. you do not play a continuous Story, but can choose the desired story from the individual Scenarios. An automatic follow of the Storyline is not possible, each Scenario in the Selection Menu must be chosen separately. Here, something is disturbing that you have to repeat this every time, because at each Start of the Game both Scenerio and Cham selection are placed on the Starting Point. It is also possible to Save the Score during the Session. The Game is paused in the Single Player by calling Any Menu. For the Prize being called, O:TNN is a nice Reminiscence of shuffling Zombies and creaky Doors for an old RE player. Players to whom these Parts do not lie will not bring JOY TO O:TNN either. For everyone else: Just trust to buy an early access title. It should be worth it for most.
