A beautiful little visual novel that deserves to be discovered.
William Aubrey, an English soldier during the 1812 war in North America, was portrayed. Only one survivor of a battle and wounded, he is looking for shelter to avoid a storm. He will eventually find an abandoned farm in which he will meet a young Shawnee (American Indian of the Shawnee tribe). The sequel to the story is discovered in the game, I prefer to avoid spoiler.
It's a fairly short and totally linear game. We finish it in just over 3 hours, and there is no choice to make, we just scroll through the text to advance the story. However, the story is different from what you usually see in a VN and that's a good point. The graphic palette also plays on the difference avoiding the manga style. As for music and sound atmospheres, it is very addictive and well realized. The music is made by an orchestra and are really successful.
In the end, over the hills and far away stands out without bad and skillfully offers us a beautiful period story. Feel free to give it a chance if you have the opportunity.

A truly poignant, heartfelt Story!
If you follow What Is happening, you wish every now and then that there was a Way to intervene, one alternative end or another ...
But perhaps that would no longer do justice to the Seriousness of the Issue.
I also think the two Characters are quite well hit from a psychological point of View: The disillusioned, brewed, man accustomed to killing, who resists allowing feelings, but then suggests that a Residual humanity remains after all. ....
The initially naive and almost stupid, but basically rather crafty Indian Girl-it's already a peculiar but actually not unbelievable Relationship between the Two (especially when you look at it all in the historical Context).
Perhaps one should also mention that (even not submischingly) any Originating associations going towards Pederastia are aroused.
May be that after a little tough Start at the End, the Emotional can seem somewhat oversubscribed, but I think the developers have already got it right to show that in War it is very often the Weakest (the Children) that it hits hardest!
Conclusion: For anyone who seeks (who) not only shallow Entertainment, a clear Recommendation!
