P1 Select reviews and comments

Awesome stuff. As usual with Michael Brough games nothing is explained. You must figure the mechanics on your own. Every move you get a different character with his own attack and health bar. Which leads to player planning the moves in order to be on the right tile with the right character to attack. The game is more fast (every game is a run through 9 randomly generated mazes) and accessible than the previous ones. But still very abstract in iconography. I believe the unusual graphics style is the main thing that scares the newcomers from these types of games. But the abstractedness of it’s style plays a big part in why a lot of people really love MB games. They bring a rare joy of exploring and learning the game on your own.
