PAC-MAN MUSEUM+ is the kind of compilation you want to love. 14 games spanning 40 years, some genuine gems (Championship Edition, Pac-Attack), a nostalgic virtual arcade, solid emulation. But the input lag is a dealbreaker — on games that demand pixel-perfect precision, that delay makes certain titles frustrating, even nearly unplayable. When the heart of Pac-Man is perfect timing, it's unforgivable. Framerate stutters don't help either.
The arcade room is charming at first but wears out quickly. The unlock system annoys more than it motivates. And at €40 for titles many fans already own elsewhere, with no remaster bonuses, it feels like a cash grab timed to the mascot's anniversary.
For a curious newcomer, it's a decent entry point. For an arcade purist, play these games elsewhere. Potential wasted by a lack of technical care. A shame — Bandai Namco could have done better for its icon.
