Penpal Kitchen

Pen Pal Kitchen is a narrative VR comic and game about cooking and love.

 For years now more and more people have been choosing to have friendships and relationships with each other online,  using the internet to keep in contact with distant friends or loved ones. Coronavirus has for many turned this from a choice, to an unavoidable fact of life. With Pen Pal Kitchen, we wanted to restore some of the warmth and levity that has been lost in these times, telling our story as an international couple and a quest to make an out of reach dish.

This is a VR game! Playable on Oculus Rift, or Oculus Link.

• In the VR comic section, press any button to advance the story.
• In the kitchen, press any button to bring up or hide the cooking instructions.
• Use triggers to grab things and interact!
• Grabbing an ingredient while cooking instructions are active brings up a page on how to prepare it!
