Penumbra: Requiem reviews

The final Part of the Penumbra series unfortunately has little to do with the two Predecessors. The Story ends in Black Plague, in Requiem no Sequel is told, there are only many Puzzles that get trickier with each Stage. The Tasks themselves are quite well done, but unfortunately there are no creepy Places here. Nevertheless, a nice Game for in between and puzzle friends will have their Fun.

Successor to Black Plaque. Unfortunately, not what you expect, no more survival horror, rather a dark Puzzle. The Puzzles are not difficult to mention the Story Crumbs to the Previous Parts are rather marginal, it does not expand the Story significantly. If the Game was acquired along with the other two, just too, really bad it's not, but a single Buy recommendation I can't pronounce For it. Neglecting Play. Rating: 5/10

Compared to the other Video Games from the Complete Package, the following can be interpreted ... The Video Game has decreased to Horror. The Player is forced to work his way through Level, but you have to fight his way through various comliqued Puzzles. In some Places I myself have lost my Fun and Desire. By The way, the Video Game is quite Unrealistic from The Build-up. (Ketchup, for example, can be used as an Explosive ... etc.) In Principle, I can NOT recommend this Part of the Series as a Variety and Fact. Fortunately, there are unofficial DLC's/expansion modifications that replace this Part ... I can only recommend this personally.

Penumbra: Requiem is a pure puzzle game with not too long Playing time. The Physics is exactly the same as in the two Main Games and you immediately feel "at home." The big Difference, however, is that you don't meet any Opponents and this time the Action seems rather unspectacular. Black Plague has already given a very satisfactory end to this Point in the Series. The Game is made up of several Areas That are clearly separated by Portals. To Activate a Portal, you have to find all the Light Blocks that are not very badly hidden. In General, the Degree of difficulty is roughly comparable to that of Penumbra Overture, but it is not enough for Black Plague. By the way, the rare Artifacts are also included again, which can be collected as an option. 3/9 I could at least name my Own, so the Hiding Places seem to be very good again. Since the Offshoot lacks any Thrill, he is far from so captivated. The Puzzle is sometimes already Fun, but unfortunately you can't compare Requiem with its strong Predecessors. In a way, it even reminds me of The Game principle of Portal, where you also work your way from Test chamber to Test chamber and have a Kind of Narrator, though not at the Level of GLaDOS. Overall, this is only a rather average Game, but since it's free in the Pack, you can't go wrong.
