Phostain: Shine a Light
About
Phostain: Shine a Light is a student first person endless runner game, made on Unity for PC (during our bachelor at ICAN Paris).
The game uses a subjective view in which the player has to avoid obstacles and lights in order to reach the best score possible. We tried to design the game around a skill-dependant main mechanic, which is this constant need of vision, using the racetrack and dodging the lights.
The constraint theme was "Off-screen" and we decided to think about the direct visual perception that the player has and what a constant trend to saturation would do on his capacities and gameplay.
