Planetquake

Pilot your ship through a crevasse on a seismically active planet. Made for the LÖVE Jam 2022, which had the theme of "Earthquake".

Unfortunately, there's no music. Why not put on Holst's The Planets or some chip tunes while you play?

Controls

Press W for forward thrust, S for backward thrust, and space for upward thrust. P pauses the game.

g3d's included assets were helpful as a starting point.

I created all other assets myself. The explosion and earthquake sound effects were generated using jsfxr and the star field was generated using the GIMP.

*Pablo, the jam's organizer, suggested to me that using a premade image texture is within the spirit of the rules, but I guess it's ultimately up to you, the voter :) For the record, fonts and base code are all specifically exempted from the no premade games and assets rules.
