Post Mortem reviews

10 Years ago I really liked the game Still Life and only recently I learned that it has a prequel-Post Mortem. Decided to nostalgic and took the whole series for a phased passage:) The Game is almost 15 years-so had to tinker with the launch, the perfect game started only on the virtual Windows XP. The Graphics are weak, but for 2002-just right, and it must be admitted that the rollers are made quite qualitatively (although I was confused that in the game menu they are not chronologically, but in an incomprehensible order). To What i this all-yes to that from the beginning did not expect from the game something over and was adjusted only on positive moments. I'll Start with what I liked. + Pluses +: 1) atmospheric-Beautiful music and a picture of the 30s of Paris of the last century immediately immersed in the plot, a great tie (interesting brunette asks to understand the intricate case of murder-who does not get involved-then?) does not break away at the beginning of the game; 2) relative nonlinearity of passage-many locations can be passed not just in different order, but also in various ways; In addition, we can choose dialogues-which also affects the passage and attitude of the characters, 3) several options of the ending-their nothing, but it still gives intrigue and interest in the interchange. -Cons-: 1) Not the best gameplay even for 2002: dialogs can not be skipped, videos even when viewed from the menu-too; Inconvenient inventory-by the end of the game you have to go through it a bunch of times to find something, many documents do not read correctly; 2) Riddles: There are, of course, interesting, but decisive method of long selection (portrait of a suspect, finding an extra lock lock when opening a door, etc.) spoil the taste of the game, illogical (from somewhere on the already researched locations may appear hammer, key and etc Sometimes annoying, and pixel-hunting (looking for incomprehensible pieces of mosaic on the picture Gülo) completes the picture; 3) Plot: The beginning of the game is very pleasant, and further... Non-linearity of passage gave rise to the chaotic filling of information from sometimes unreadable documents (and could not read the history of the disease Gracie Eaton, for example) and often senseless order of dialogues, as a result of interesting detective turns into incomplete Mystical Story-because of the short and small storylines I have left the impression of understatement and grossly blind end of the plot. I Can only recommend to fans of the mixture of detective and mysticism, as well as fans of the series.
