Early Access Review note: This is a German review, but I uploaded an English version on my Tumblr profile: https://lenndado.tumblr.com/"Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again x2" is the second Part of the Rogue-like game "Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again." It Differs from its Predecessor by a simpler but more clear graphic in the Pixel Look, more Items and more complex Spaces. The Indie Game features lovingly designed Animations as well as very well designed Opponents and Items. Of Course, there are also bosses, who block the Way to the Next One after each level. However, after a little longer Playing time, you only run from Boss to Boss with no real Challenge, because the steady Passing through the manageable Number of random spaces strung in succession makes the Levels between the Bosses a lower danger. Should you die from one of the Bosses, which, as is usually the case in Roguelikes, often happens, you start again from the very front. Many Games fail at this Point because they cannot adequately motivate the Player and the Game Session is terminated. This is Different in "Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again x2," because in order to prevent the Motivation Cancellation, the Game already trumps in the Main Menu with the, in my Opinion best Soundtrack it has to offer. The Sounds are nothing special, they are Standard and sufficient for this Type of Game. However, there is to complain that hitting a Pot has the same Sound as hitting a Slime or a Bat. I think this takes the Satisfaction of killing an Opponent and a realistic Sound would be more appropriate. PLPA x2 is crammed with References to other Games, Movies and Series, which puts a smile on your Face again and Again after you discover them. There are also Secrets to which destructible Blocks in the Walls are with a slightly different Texture. However, these "Secrets" are in the same Room and place every Time, which I Don't think is the Point of Secrets. It would be advisable to randomly generate The destructible blocks in different Places and in different Rooms. There's not much to say About the Story, as even in the Game there's not very much emphasis on it. Each of the Characters has their own Mission and reward in fulfilling them. For example, to get a Kiss you could save the Princess's Cat or kill a Rat for Honor. Plus, each of the playable Characters, so far three, has its own Stats. This allows each Player to choose a Character that matches their Style of play, for Example: The Warrior; It causes significantly more Damage and allows the Player to kill Opponents in a few Strokes. On The other hand, there is the Thief, who can scurry across the Plane By his higher Running speed and Evade opponents better. There are three different collectable Objects. Keys for Opening closed Doors, Bombs for Blowing up Safes and some specific Blocks and Coins to Buy items in the Shop, which appears twice between each Boss. In these Shops you can use a Bomb to blow up the safe gates of the Shopkeeper and get 20 Coins, even though you only bought a Bomb for 10 Coins. I find one should be punished for stealing the Shopkeeper or he should fight back. For example, prices could increase Or the next Shop should be closed. One has to conclude that PLPA x2 is still in Early Access and you can expect a total Of 12 playable Characters, many items and more content. I highly recommend this Game. It is by no means unique, but does a lot of Things very well and keeps the fun of the Game very far up for a long time. In addition, due to the Early Access, you can discover a lot of new Things after each Update and help with The Development by reporting Bugs. I would give "Princess.Loot.Pixel.Again x2" solid 8 out of 10 Points.
