About

ProcPlanets - the Procedural Planet Generator 1. Description
  • This is a highly customizable procedural planet generation Toy, powered by UE4.
  • Currently supported by windows only
2. Controls
  • >left mouse button< to move Sliders
  • >left mouse button< to rotate and visualize planets
  • >H< to hide UI
  • >ESC / Q< to quit
3. Features
  • Multi layered noise support
  • Support for multple settings such as noise strength, persistence, frequency and others
  • Support for multiple textures, made with simple color gradients. I will probably add more down the line
  • Save System: If you end up with a planet you really like, you can simply save it and return to it whenever you feel like.
  • Multi planet support: you can save and store multiple planets. You can also create new ones from scratch
  • Use first layer as a mask, for any other layers, so the planet distorition will only apply to certain areas
  • You cn change the planet resolution on runtime! Be careful when using the planet at ultra res :)
4. Honourable mentions
  • The procedural planets series from Sebastian Lague, which was the main inspiration for this project.
  • Aleksey Chistilin, for providing this royalty free song!

5.Final Notes
  • This project was made as a study case, and a test of my capabilities.
  • Feedback is always welcome!
  • Feel free to link me to the planets you end up making!! I would really love to see what you are able to create.
