Space explorer... Do you copy?

Our team here at the Galactic Space Union are attempting to figure out your current condition. I know this sounds ridiculous, it seems like you have been superimposed between two different realities.

Project Alpha is a rogue-like shooter with maps generated randomly using quantum computation. In the spirit of quantum superposition, the player is superimposed between two realities. The player has to simultaneously control both versions of the character and proceed trough the rooms killing all Alpha Centaurians. The goal of the game is to find and kill the Centaurian Leader before the aliens kill you.

Movement: WASD
Aiming & Shooting: mouse & left button click
Both characters move and shoot simultaneously and they both aim towards the mouse position.

The game is won by exiting the boss room after clearing it.

Background

Methods & Tools

Project Alpha uses IBM's real quantum computers to generate seeds for the level generation. The calculations are done on a server to which the game makes API requests to. The server is written in python and uses Qiskit to interact with the IBM quantum computers.
