You are are a security officer at a busy spaceport.  Monitor the traffic passing through for criminals: arrest (or destroy) criminals and save up money for retirement, all without getting kicked off the force for upsetting the social order too badly.  By all means, cheat your way to the top... but don't forget who signs your paychecks.
