Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly Story & Gameplay Only so much to The story: You slip into the Role of The Protagonist (you can enter the Name yourself), who awakens without any Memories in a mysterious Villa. Together with other Prisoners, you are not only trying to find a Way out, but also have to face Monsters wandering through the Corridors of the Villa. Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly is primarily a Visual Novel. You can Click through Passages of The Text and make Decisions. The virtual Novel is interrupted by a Mini-game in which it is your Job to shoot down the black Butterflies that are named. You can learn How these Insects have to do with history in the Game. There is a lot in the Menu and also outside, for Example an Album In which you can enjoy Pictures, Movies and Music Again and a Flowchart on which you can retrace your chosen Path. If you start afresh or rejoin an already played scene and have to make a Decision, the option you have already chosen Will be marked so that you don't have to puzzle which path you have already followed. There is also the "Back Log" at the top Of The Screen; This lists some of the Text Boxes of the Section among themselves. You can't jump back to the Scenes via this Menu, but just reread the Text and listen to the Voiceover. You can Scroll back by Clicking on the arrow on the left edge of the Text Box. Unfortunately, you have to start the Mini-game from time to time. You are not forced to play it, but can also give up and still get a few Points, these are imperative to unlock the Bonus Chapters. If you think now that they can do without it, it's not that easy for you to do the Game, because without a certain Number of Bonus Chapters you can't get any further in the Main Story. One More Note about the Control: With "D" you can hide the Text boxes. "Y" is for Skipping, "Q" Fast Storage & "S" fast charging. "W" transports you to the Menu. It would have been nice to be able to read this among the Options and not to experience it by accidentally pressing it (especially annoying if selected in the "Skip All" Settings instead of "Skip Read"). Graphics and Sound The Game shines with a detailed and as I find very beautiful manga look. Cleanly crafted and atmospheric Backgrounds and individual Characters. My Respect to the Draughtsman. As for the Sound, the Game is set to music in Japanese (one high on Subtitles). I hardly understand a Word of Japanese, but the Voice Actors do a good Job and bring the Emotions of the Figures over well. Verdict The Game has some negative Reviews, but most Of them revolve around the same Topic: In the Beginning, Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly probably tended to Crash strongly (can I only read from the Reviews, the Game only played after an Update). In The meantime, these Reviews are outdated. You get a good Story here with unexpected and funny Moments, sympathetic Characters and a Mini-game that you can just skip if you don't Feel like it. From me there is a Thumbs Up and a Recommendation for Friends of Visual Novels. PS: The Game seems to be very extensive. Still don't get through after about 8 Hours.
