Psychiatrist Simulator reviews

As much as I find the concept of this interesting game on paper, as much I find the game in itself baclé. You play as a psychiatrist and receive several patients, who return regularly. You will need to help you with a diagnostic manual and your logbook to understand what your patients are suffering from and provide adequate care. In the means at your disposal you can prescribe psychotropic drugs, have your patient interning in a psychiatric hospital or recommend a psychologist for a psychotherapeutic follow-up. Again, all of this is immersive on paper, but you may be able to dissing once at stake! First problem: the graphics patients are not too poorly modeled, at least as long as they do not speak... The facial animations curl the ridiculous and we find ourselves in front of patients as charismatic as oysters, add to it synthetic voices style Windows 98 and we forget direct immersion. So certainly, we are talking about a game with less than a euro, I was expecting a mirror result, but I think the result could have been as good to see better with much simpler graphics. Instead we find ourselves with realistic, ugly and soulless pseudo graphics. Second problem: the dialogues has the limit I don't care about the graphics, if I buy this type of game it is for the concept that it proposes above all. This is my view that the game disappoints the most. Most of your interactions are limited to two or three propositions, usually one to choose between the question of type Protocol (how you feel today, you feel anxious etc...) or the question type ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥-♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ which consists roughly throw a free cow-shop to your interlocutor (without this really influences the continuation of the interview). After 5 or 6 questions your patient is leaving and a new one arrives. It is a pity because it is on this point that the game could have come out of the lot, proposing really immersive dialogues and developing the personality of the patients. Instead we have the right to a game of questions answers with synthetics... Third problem: the difficulty even if the term is not ideal, I have a hard time to identify the audience for this game. If you have no notion in Psychiatry the game may prove to be incomprehensible because the jargon used is quite specific and the game does not offer any help. You can still use the diagnostic book, but it's pretty messy and poorly explained. On the other hand, if you enough some knowledge in the field, the cases will seem ridiculously simple so they are stereotypes. For example, the paranoid who tells us that he is being spied on by the Government even before he was asked a question, and who adds more and more to the case where his diagnosis would not jump in the eyes. And it is unfortunately the same for the majority of patients who follow, so we get bored fast enough because there is no mystery. Moreover, the lack of personality of the patients does not make you want to continue to play to know their history once the diagnosis is established, even typing the chat with bots as much talk with Cortana, she has much more distributed. Problem 4: bugs/the interface to the strawberries screen loading WTF that comes out of nowhere, dialogues that jump on their own and freezes come punctuate the game, and everything is served accompanied by an intuitive interface that accentuates the frustration inherent in the game. To conclude, I would say that psychiatrist Simulator is a rather disappointing game. disappointing because the concept it proposes is original and innovative, but all this is served by the negative points mentioned above that make you want to get out of the game after receiving 2 patients. After, you have to relativise and take into account the price of the game, at €1 the game you do not risk anything to buy it to make you your own opinion, if you are fond of psycho. However I wanted to propose a reasoned opinion to weigh the description of the app that sells a little too much dream compared to the content it actually offers.
