Puzzle Bots reviews

Puzzle bots is a rather friendly point & click and intended primarily for children. Because the game is not translated, it is limited to an anglophone audience. The story is short and the puzzles are quite accessible. We follow the adventures of several small robots, each one has its peculiarity and we help these little creatures to cross the levels. Each décor has its own lot of puzzles, you have to push objects, combine them, melt them, destroy them,... In parallel we follow the staged history of the creators of these robots through scenes composed of dialogues. The game is meant to be "simple" in its artistic direction, it is very minimalist, very touching, very innocent and it gives a certain authenticity to the work done. My criticism is intended for francophone players, I do not recommend the purchase. The non translation is a non negligible brake, and then the game is really not extraordinary... There are other much more interesting game puzzles on steam. If you are really interested, take it in a bundle or on sale.

With your specialized robot Squad, you will have the first mission to discover the hidden secrets and malfunctions of a crazy robot factory before it is too late! There's something mysterious going on at Dr. Hugo's robot factory. When inventors are not around, their tiny robots escape to live great adventures. When Zander, the most distracted of inventors, finds a metal box buried outside the factory, a series of events are chained. As no one can open it, the robots themselves will try and thus discover the first piece of a puzzle as old as the factory itself. They certainly did not expect to fall on such diabolical ground that could well threaten their own existence and that of their inventors. These are the premises of this very classic adventure game... maybe even a little too much! Indeed, childish graphics are frankly antiquing. Puzzle bots, as its name implies, proposes you to progressively embody a team of 5 different robots, with each, their own skills. Your role will be to help them collect clues and work together to solve puzzles, through about fifteen increasingly complex levels. Hero can recover items and use them, Ultrabot can push some objects, ibi can swim underwater and pull objects there, Kelvin can heat or burn objects and finally Bomchelle can throw bombs. The game is structured so that each new robot adding to your team goes through a tutorial allowing you to fully understand its possibilities. If the first levels are simple, when you have the five robots at your disposal, you will have to dig your brains out. Fortunately, the puzzles are especially logical and will encourage you to continue the game. Positive points: + well-built logical puzzles + friendly and fun robots negative points-really outdated graphics-unconvincing duplication-sometimes laborious moves-rather short (about 2 hours)
