How to Play
At the start of the game, you and your opponent shall be dealt 7 cards each.
The aim of the game is to play your cards once per turn and convert as many of your opponent's cards to match your colour.
Once all cards have been played and the grid is full, the winner is the player that has the most cards matching their colour.
On every card there is a number on the top, bottom, left, and right. These numbers represent the card’s attack strength but also represent its defense when it is being attacked.
To flip your opponent's card and convert it to your colour, place a card with an attack strength greater than your opponent's defense to make it flip and become your colour.
Once you’ve successfully flipped your opponent's card, they will have a chance to win back their card, and other cards during their next turn, and subsequent turns, depending upon where they choose to place their cards on the grid.
Cards are vulnerable from all sides so place them on the grid well.
Island Cards
There are two fixed island cards on the grid: the Treasure Island card and the Coastal Village card. These cards cannot be moved and start the game already attached to the grid. Any time you place a card adjacent to an island card it will generate supplies. The Treasure Island card generates 1 Gold and 1 Iron, and the Coastal VIllage card generates 1 Wood and 1 Food.
These supplies that are generated can be used to upgrade your cards.
Crafting
During the game, you can use supplies gained from the island cards to upgrade the cards in your hand and make them more powerful.
At the start of every turn, before you place a card on the grid, you have the opportunity to craft in the crafting area. The crafting area is the square away from the grid that has the hammer emblem displayed on it.
To craft, place a card from your hand onto the crafting area, then the upgrade options available for that card will be displayed nearby. The cost to upgrade to that card will be displayed next to it and, if you have sufficient materials, you will be able to purchase the card. Any cards you can’t afford when looking to buy will have their costs be displayed in red.
Extra Notes
This game is based off of the triple triad card game in the final fantasy series and fused with new and interesting elements to make the game play more strategic.
