Quest for Infamy reviews

The Game is probably very good for Fans-but not to my Liking. The Game is a Tribute to the old Adventure, today you would say Point & Click, from Sierra On-Line, which I never played myself. Apparently, the famous Series Quest for Glory is being revived, with a Wink, as our Antihero is out for Dishonesty (infamy) this time around. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1220712583 We play a Mr. Roehm, who takes it into a Kaff called Volksville (!), in which a Sherriff reigns to gusto. We may soon witness a rather arbitrary Execution in order to tune in. Nor are we a Cost guard. We can decide to either make Careers as a Predator (Strength), Pickpocket (Stealth) or Magician. We are Accompanied (in the Off) by a Narrator of our Exploits, who lets go of a beautiful Comment on every Handle. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1220714569 So we roam the Area in Search of Quests and Means of Solving them. This is not easy and what the Goal of the whole thing is is completely unclear at first. Very quickly, the Tasks become difficult. There is little Evidence of what might be possible where and at what time Of day to do. The fact that the Connection points to the next Wallpapers, of which there are a great Many, can be overlooked is probably our least problem. In this Respect, the Game is probably on Par with its 30-year-old Predecessor and is something for Nostalgists or Friends of heavy Point-and-click or adventure games. Sometimes the Game automatically gets our Roehm to the right Place, but that's relatively rare. Soon I have been leafing again in a Walk-through to move forward. Of course, it is not the Point of constantly looking. So a Fan will be able to expect to spend a lot of Time with this Game. I would not have come up with some Solutions, I say honestly, in my Dream. However, it helps (which I did not) to remember at least the Names and Hints mentioned in the Dialogues well, as they are often not repeated. There are fights, too. At First we're not very strong yet and you should just fight with the Opponents you have to get done. Quickly, though, our Hero is getting stronger. If you lose a Fight you don't always die and have gained Skills. You should save often, because you never know what to expect. The Fights take place in a Kind of turn-based Form, with three Seconds each to select an Action. I didn't think that was great because I couldn't see a System for the best way to attack the respective Opponent. I found the System in Style but not inappropriate to the Game. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1220721403 The Graphic is Pixel Art with a Resolution of probably 320x200 Pixels. Ironically, you can increase screen Resolution, which of course does nothing. Pixelart is no Joy to me. But it is said that it is well done. Those who like something like that are well served here. The Sound is OK. There's Music in the Background. The Narrator is very well laid out and comments on Roehm's Actions quite ingeniously. For example, opening a Latrine Door is a Pagan Fun. The other People also speak and I found the English Speakers almost consistently good. The mouse Control is OK. With the Mouse Wheel (or the right Mouse button), the Interaction Method is selected, with the left one is interacted. Roehm's Running Speed, however, like much, must be selected in the menu that appears at the top Of the Screen when the Cursor is moved there. There are many Achievements that are only partially automatically unlocked. Pro & Contra: + Very Classic Adventure (Point & Click) + Good Homage to Quest Of Glory + A Wonderful Narrator + Much Humor o An existing narrative, but which leaves us overwhelmingly unclear about what it's all about o Many very difficult Tasks (if you like it) o The Fights Not particularly o Pixelart (good, if you like it)-There's really little Evidence of how to do the Chores are scoring: 4/10 (for me; for appropriate fans like much more) The Game is almost like a Resurgence of 90s adventures. For Fans certainly recommended. I couldn't get excited about it in the Long run. The Graphics (intentionally, yes) are too bad for that and the Tasks are too difficult. On my Taste, therefore, not a general Recommendation.
