Quests & Creatures Zine

Create your own unique creatures and go on quests with them! Print the zine on a single sheet of paper. All you need is some dice, a deck of cards and a pen! Have fun!

HOW TO PLAY - Use the following rules to create unique creatures and go on quests with them! 

REQUIRED MATERIALS
1) Pen and Paper
2) Dice: D20, D12 and D6 
3) 52 card deck with the Jokers removed.

CREATURE CREATION - Creatures can be created at anytime. Record  dice rolls on a blank paper or print out a creature sheet. Leave room to record XP and level tally. Creatures are capped to LVL40. Creatures start at LVL 0.

QUEST CREATION - Quests can be played with other players or by yourself. At the start of each quest, shuffle a 52 card deck. Draw 4 cards into your hand and pick any creatures to take on this quest. If a player has an empty hand and there are no cards to take, it is game over for that player. The quest is over when all players have reached game over or if someone plays the Ace of Spades. Use a D20 to track creature’s HP during quests. All creatures start quests with full HP. Each player rolls a D20 to determine the turn order. At the start of a turn, draw a card. Play and discard one card per turn.
