Review: "Rad Rodgers: World One (PC)" "RR: WO" is a classic Shoot ' n ' platforming as you know it from the 90s, just currently hammered up and not so pixelated. Except in places where it is wanted due to play and with some attribute displays for the Atmosphere ^ ^. Our little Hero is drawn into the Pixel World after teasing for far too long and falling asleep over it, only to wake up in the middle of the Night and watch his beloved NES console come to Life and he takes it into a pixelated Maelstrom Pulled in the TV. When he arrives "over," Rad now finds himself a Hero in his own Video Game and is also enlightened accordingly by his lively and very elocible console. Henceforth, the two are travelling together in a Jungle full of Dangers, platforms and imaginative figures to bounce and balling through some old-classic Key puzzles and other Immovabilities, until the 7th and final Level In which the Final Boss waits. The Jungle World has been corrupted and contaminated and it is up to the unequal hero duo to put this Right. To do this, Rad acts in the colorful Main World and Dusty, the Console with the overlong arms ^ ^, in intermediate worlds in which he has to search for certain Objects and transport them back to the "right" World through tangible actions. It enters these Intermediate Worlds when Wheel enters an extremely pixelated (contaminated) Area and passes through a Pixel Gate. There, too, there is courageous fighting and Dusty swirls around with his Arms to fight back all sorts of flying objects, while being steered by tangled paths, trying to avoid anything that could electrify him (Walls, Obstacles, etc.). Once the necessary Objects were found and rightly closed, he finds himself again in the Main World and lo and behold, the Objects are now back where they belong, the Pixel Porridge is dissolved and usually a new Path has been cleared. You have to like platform hoops to become permanently happy in this Game and to advance Skillfully, the Ball insoles here are rather secondary, albeit in the adult version (at the Beginning of The game may be chosen between the "Children" and "Adult" versions * G *) everything is presented delightfully trashy and exaggeratedly bloody. Always an Ear Candy are Dusty's crude Sayings and the Soundtrack Inserts that always fittingly underline the pixel action. Graphically, there is a lot on offer here, the retro style on which so many Players stand today can be found as well as extremely clear and detailed graphics and Graphic Effects (based on the U4 engine). The Control takes getting used to the PC. All Around, however, a fancy Game for in between has succeeded, which unfortunately only got a little Short, but it's already a lot of Fun and gets a little too little Attention, but that changes. With possible world additions?! [The Screenshots below also include some for upcoming, planned worlds!] Rating: Game Fun: 5 out of 6 Points.
