Rain World reviews

This game seems really interesting, I liked the concept of the character and the means of traversal around the map. There are very few games that really nail that feeling of being thrown into a world with no instructions and allow you to figure things out in a good way. From what I played this really didn't achieve that. I wandered around aimlessly with no indication where to go or what to do. I speared a couple lizards and then got eaten and just called it quits. I'll settle with it just not being my kind of game but not a terrible one because of it.
My favourite game of all time, such an incredible concept for a game and world executed perfectly. The experience of scraping by through this uncaring world will be one I hold for the rest of my life, can get frustrating but the highs are high. Ending was like a religious experience

Rain World is a title that falls in love with the vast majority of players who manage to spend the first hours of play. It Is a difficult game, which poses a challenge for the player, with complicated platforms and very deep mechanics that give you a sense of total control once you dominate. The problem of this game is the lack of connection with the player, although this aspect is intentional (since the world of Rain World is not "adapted" for the player, if it is the player himself who must adapt to the environment to get survive) , the lack of information at the beginning and a clear objective to dedicate our efforts make many people not get hooked to the game after the first hours of departure. It Has other negative aspects, like the disastrous IA of some creatures that make the passage through one of the areas of the game a real torture (I understand that they have fixed in version 1.7), the system of karma that at certain points becomes grinding , the unbalance of the difficult and easy mode (the difficult mode is, in my opinion, artificial and absurdly difficult, while in the easy mode seems to punish the player because he can not access the lore of the game in this mode), the rain itself comes to take away fun Game (some people ask for a rain-free mode, and that exists in a game called Rain World is indicative that something is not working well), etc. However, despite these negative aspects, Rain World has a passionate community, which is in love with the game; And it's no less. If The problems you have do not make you leave the game, you will discover a fantastic world, populated by creatures that interact with each other with total freedom, being our avatar one of the weakest and at the same time one of the most powerful thanks to our own Intelligence and mechanics. We Will Have To use the environment to survive, feed and shelter from the rain, opening up a hole through the different areas that make up the world of Rain World. The lore of the game is simply brutal, as you advance in history begins to emerge a great curiosity to know what has happened and why we are there, this is largely produced by the scenery of the places we pass. Once we complete the main story that interest in understanding the world of Rain World becomes unstoppable and leads us to immerse ourselves in the fantastic lore that offers this game. To summarize, it is noted that this game has been very fond of developers, but for x reasons (perhaps for lack of experience) have disassociated too much game player, and although the idea is very good, the execution is not so much (in some respects). Despite the mistakes it can have, it is a game that falls in love with everyone who pays attention as it has many other very good aspects and offers a totally different experience than what we are used to. So Much so that Rain World has become one of my favorite games.
