Random Heroes (itch)

Random Heroes is a top-down action shooter where death can reroll your attributes and weapons, or just kill you. Random Heroes was made in 48 for the GMTK 2022 Game Jam.

Controls:

• W/A/S/D - Move
• Left Mouse Click - shoot, hold to shoot continuously
• Mouse Wheel - zoom in and out (a little buggy)

Explanation: (There is no tutorial)

• There are three kinds of attacks.
  • Slow Yellow Bullets - These have the fastest firing rate and least damage
  • Fast Blue Bullets - These are much faster and do more damage than their slower counterparts, but they have a slower firing rate.
  • Mines - These will activate soon after they are thrown
• Health is the color of each cube. As the color recedes toward the center of the cube, its health is lower.
• Enemy Spawners can be shot (many times) to disable them temporarily.

This prototype has 1 infinite level, with gradually increasing difficulty.
