What is Reptor: Call of the shadows? A 2015 Remake or Revision of a 1994 game, but is this Game really still worth it 21 Years later? I want to start with the Fact that I don't know the original and don't see this Game with nostalgic, so the Game is one of those very popular 2D plane Shooters, especially in the 90s, by having to fly from top to bottom, collecting And trying duchs Level to come. In Addition, it is possible to buy new Weapons, take special Power-ups with you or simply replenish life before each Mission. What you might also say is that it's damn hard and doesn't make a mistake. By and large it is not a bad Game unfortunately you notice him the 21 Years and it has a clear Disadvantage compared to current Games which are similar (see here e.g. Drive to Hell) and that is the Monotony. Every Level is almost the same as what bored me very quickly, always the same Opponents, but a different background is the same In terms of Structure. Unfortunately a Thumbs down.

I grew up playing Games like Raptor. Yes, very much already at the 30th.
Be that as it may, I am a positive Person, to this day no negative Review has been given, as I said, to this day.
Thanks to dotemu and Raptor: Call of the Shadows 2015 Edition, this has now changed.
Well, the Game itself is super in itself, although of course it's come in the Years, so you can say it has a certain Nostalgia bonus.
For the "2015" Edition: You can play the Game with Either mouse, Keyboard or Gamepad, whereby you quickly notice that all 3 Variants are completely Pointless.
There's a Problem with the Mouse. Apparently it has to do with the Mouse acceleration. On the one hand, the "Plane" moves to the left much faster than to the right, on the other hand, the whole thing moves a little bit. A little hard to put into Words, but the Point is that it's not really playable with Mouse.
A completely different Challenge comes with Gamepad.
The Speed of the Ship is drastically slower. So slow you can't dodge anything. You can see the Shots of the Opponents coming miles, but it doesn't mean it's evasive ...
With the Keyboard I didn't even try it at all, but I can imagine that there is a problem here as well.
I used to play the Game with a mouse. I wouldn't have a Problem switching to Gamepad if it made sense to the One ...
Then there are Problems that a new Game stand is written every time you save it off.
This causes confusion on the one hand, especially if you have never dealt with the Game before, on the other hand it is just annoying To have to constantly clear scores.
Now the Question will surely come, what are the innovations to the original version?
Well, Steam Achievements and an HQ filter. Welcome to 2015!
There is also Steten's dotemu so far no Reaction. No Answers, No Patch, just nothing.
I noticed negative ones before and was one Reason I didn't access Heroes 3 HD. (Ubisoft/Dotemu ... But this Time I fell victim to Nostalgia. Can be glad that it was only just under €5bn, but also the last Eurons, for these People.
My Recommendation?
Makes a big Bow around this Ridiculous Version.
