Red Faction: Armageddon reviews

Whether you like this Red Faction or not may depend a little on when you met this Franchise. For me, it's a Return to the Early Days. The third Part, Guerillia, a Kind of GTA clon, was the Exception in this shooter franchise. Unfortunately, there were between Part 2 and 3 for seven Years. So it's quite possible that a whole Generation of Players got to know Red Faction with this big Openworld map. Although Guerillia has had its Entertainment Value for me, I was glad when Red Faction found its way back to classic Design. The Storyline wouldn't work with an open World. The Story certainly didn't deserve an Oscar, but anyone who found Total Recall or similar action flicks entertaining won't get bored here either. The Characters are somewhat stereotypical, but they fit such a Story line. After All, you are credibly Taught motifs and Emotions and the Dramaturgy builds up correctly. Which doesn't apply to every AAA game today. Graphic is good, though not exactly a Feast for the Eyes. Music and Sound fit. Voiceover in German is good in the opinion. There was nothing to complain about with me. Have played the Game several times, but hasn't played it for a While. Had no Problems with Crashes, as many here report. Gameplay: You can not only destroy the Environment (or rather the Buildings), then you can rebuild it. Often this allows Tactics that are simply Fun. Destroy Jetties, Bends, Stairs. Cut off the Enemy's Path so you don't get overrant. Rebuild them afterwards and continue on the Way. If your Cover is destroyed, rebuild it. Etc... Opponents are diverse, but with the Exception of the Boss Monsters, they are Not exactly worthy of Remembrance. The Weapons make fun and offer just about anything from the Precision Rifle to the Singularity Cannon. If the Game is through, you can buy some Cheats with the points earned. Kind of totally over the top, but somehow it makes insanely fun. At a Time when Cheats ... Pardon Features, for Real Money to be sold by Manufacturers and Publishers, a welcome Exception. Whether you want to use something like that or not is up to everyone. The Option can be switched on and off. There are Sections where you control Vehicles. These are well distributed and a nice Change. In the End, Red Faction: Armageddon is a solid Shooter with Hose Level and a solid Story line. If you are Looking for a GTA or guerrilla clone, you should look elsewhere. Nostalgists of the original Red Faction Games receive a Recommendation from me to take a closer look at the Game. Especially with Sale, there is little Reason to hold back.
