Requiem for a Meme

Requiem for a meme depicts a man's quest to have a good day.  For some this isn't considered a momentous feat, however for our hero boredom  and self-deprecation are difficult habits to break.  

But how to break them?  It can't be simple, as our hero would've discovered the secret by now.  Something... something needs to be done.  Something drastic?  Something ridiculous?  Something stupid?  

Well as luck would have it those are exactly the options he will be presented with on the journey ahead of him, and the only thing left to do is choose.
