The Game is very good.
It is the fourth Part of the Series that began with Part 1. Part 2 and 3 I haven't played yet. From Part 0 (Zero because it plays in terms of Content before Part 1) I did not play the Original Version. The Remastered Version looks a lot like that of Part 1 and plays almost like that. Whether that's so good or not, you have to know for yourself.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1629652025 I only address significant Differences that have struck me. One now has two playable Characters working on the Team: STAR recruit Rebecca Chambers, who you also know from Part 1, and convict and Ex-Marine Billy Coen. Only one can be controlled at a time, but you can (sometimes have to) change. In the Inventory, you can adjust how the Partner, who is controlled by the Game, should act (wait or accompany; fight with you or not).
There Are more Enemy Types, mostly made up of mutant Animals or Zombies. The Animals have the "Advantage" of staying dead.
Both Characters now have only six Inventory Slots, with many Weapons needing two of them.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1629663402 You omitted the Chests, where you could store and access Objects neatly, no matter what Chest you opened. Instead, you can put objects down anywhere (there is a Limit per Room). There are advantages and Disadvantages to this. They are marked on the Map and are so (mostly) easy to find again and you don't have to walk to a Chest first. On the other hand, if you want to make up for them, you have a lot of Paths, which are solely due to the Property Management. In addition, the Interaction Points with these Objects were often difficult to find and so I sometimes roaded around the Object before I could pick it up (and the right one).
My Impression was that the Downsides of this Design Decision far outweigh it, unless you like it particularly hard. I have spent your Playing time managing the Objects (sometimes unnecessarily in that you know better afterwards what you need and when, where, or what is best placed).
I found the Puzzles Noticeably easier by comparison. The Levels, on the other hand, were often very winding with the Danger of getting lost.
In this Respect, the first Play was a bit tough. Otherwise, it was very similar to Part 1. With a more Streamlined gameplay, RE 0 can be played quickly in a few Hours.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1629675675 Also Graphics, Sound and Control was almost like in Part 1. The Animals were much better, including the Environment. I played with Controllers and here the Keys for Teamwork Had to be accommodated somewhere, which forced me to have a certain Amount Of Familiarization.
Both Characters can now even be missed from different Outfits at The first Play.
There are a great Many Achievements. Some are quite hard to reach.
Pro & Contra: + A Classic, Pleasantly modernized + Extensive Gameplay and lots of game time + Zombies that sometimes go undead + Replay Stimulus (to make it better) o Only with multiple Play, you can play it "well"-Far too long (because far too often) Tick Animations-Minimal Inventory (very annoying if you're new)-No Chests (I find it rather bad)-Long Walkways Rating: 9/10 In itself, RE 0 Is almost like RE 1. Eternal juggling with the Inventory and objects didn't go down too well with me. Otherwise as usual.
