About

Lost and alone in a place that feels strangely familiar. Can you solve the puzzles and find clues to uncover the secrets of Verdant Creek?

Retaliation is a Student project produced by the 'Electric Bandwidth' team back in 2014 while studying at the 'University of Creative Arts Farnham'.

Active Development is still taking place. It is my intent to respond to feedback and anything that can be done to improve the game will be considered and hopefully implemented.

Retaliation reviews and comments

Atmospherically really successful, but everything else is scrap, it doesn't really get out what you do mus and also spin many Functions (Door with number Code and after each press flies the Mouse away and you have to get out of the SPiel every time and step in again so they w w And there is) and also no Escpae menu, i.e. the Game also has to be scraped out ... It doesn't really seem finished and still very initial. Without a big Change, I definitely wouldn't recommend it. 3/10 but also only because of Atmosphere and Music.

There's so much I want to write about this Game and why it's such a shame I don't want to recommend it at all. If you don't want to read all this, you can get a little Insight into the Game here at my Let's Play. First of all, the positive thing: The Story is actually quite interesting and deals with many serious Topics. Certain Sequences make You hungry for more and you want to know how it all relates. The Game creates a distressing Mood in part and you feel very constricted. The Story offers great and, above all, greater Potential. But It's a lot of Details that make it hard for the Player to have a great Experience here in what's actually a solid Game. The Player gets very little Feedback from the Game World, which makes solving the actually "pill pall puzzles" almost impossible. An Example (without giving anything away): If I find a Key, I know I could open a Door with it. But because the Game never tells me where a possible Door is, I have to run off every Door in the Level again blunt and hope to come across the right Door at some point. If I found them, I have to be unsure that I needed the Key for it in the first place. There is no "unlocking noise." Technically, the Character gets stuck on all Corners, climbing Stairs becomes an unimagined Experience, Tearing doors out of the angels and/or bugging tightly. Doors next To It can no longer be reached. Over small Edges, the Character comes over only with huge Sentences. Textures flicker what keeps the Stuff up. The Hardware Requirement is out of all Proportion to the Graphics. Models may not be optimized. The Sound echot or is of moderate Quality. Storyscripts start again and again. In some Places, the Game bugs tightly. The Story just doesn't go on and you have to repeat certain Areas in the Game. The End leaves the Player with loud Question Marks over his Head. Unfortunately, there is no Replay Value. I unfortunately too often felt while Playing that this Game world is just dead. I hope this Review has been helpful.
