Revenge of D.Paio

XIII Century, 1242

Grand Master of the Order of Santiago, D. Paio Peres Correia, 37 of age, has just finished truces with at the time muslim king of the province of Tavira. Seven days later, seven brave portuguese knights went sport hunting near Tavira, their names: D.Pedro Pires, Mem do Vale, Durão Vaz, Alvoro Garcia, Estêvão Vaz, Beltrão de Caia e Garcia Roiz.
The muslim king of Tavira, assumed a portuguese attack by those seven knights, and order their execution.
Enraged with the news of death of his soldiers, D.Paio Peres Correia, against orders of the portuguese king D.Sancho, gathers his man, and falls on Tavira with all his strength. It is known as the "Revenge of D.Paio".
