Revengeance

Start a new adventure in a ruined, drab palace set in a dark-fantasy-Esque land where something bizarre is taking place, will you escape the burning depths of anger and resent?

Armed with only a broken sword and Your infernal combustion, will you lose yourself and end something you never wanted to start?

Story Summary

Within a country seethed in avarice and sadism, cloaked under the vast veil of blind devotion to a so-called God, the protagonist would find themselves at a dead-end in society, pressed between the rock of poverty, and the hard place of debt, vision clouded by the darkening mist of despair, before having their antipathetic view enlightened by her.

Soon, even his downtrodden form would be corrupted by that unseeing devotion, but not to any god, at least, none worshipped by a regular religion, but instead to her pantheon, a mass of followers mesmerised by her grace, worked by the tone of her voice, the loyal knights of her majesty.

Through flesh-lashing winds, odysseys through the frenzied, revolving Charybdis, or man-melting calefaction of the endless glass-desert, to carry out her ‘divine’ will be it to proliferate the word of her eminence, or to commence the crimson dance across the plains, leaving none behind to defy her decree.

Yet, alas, even the exsanguination of those that would stand stalwart to defend their own will would not harbour the favour, or mercy of his wicked lord, who found him better suited as a diversion, the supposed ‘Prey’ of a ‘Barbaric Assault’, such it was framed as he was cut low by his own ‘Allies’, to be left as another casualty of what the people would believe to be the actions of those that stood against their Lord, keeping the flame of warfare ever ignited.

But the soul of this damned would refuse the drowning solace of the beyond, as he bore himself bare to the being of bones and death, striking a deal from beyond the grave.

And so he would arrive at a vaguely familiar gate, glimpses of the old world flowing through his miasma-ridden form, as a singular desire would rise from that broken-down body.

Revenge.
