About

Try. Try again. In Rewind you can clone yourself and manipulate time to solve both the puzzles and the mystery of why you are here. Use the weapons at your disposal to eliminate your enemies, even if it's yourself. Can you make it to the exit? You can only count on yourselves.

Rewind reviews and comments

More Reviews are available on my Curator Site Rewind Is a Third-Person Puzzle game Where you have to solve the Puzzles with the Help of a Back Coil Function and Cloning. The Main Character has the Ability to record his Movement and then turn back Time. Then, when you start again, a Clone Runs the previously created route. Using this Feature, the Player must position his Clones to press switches and Pressure Plates to open the Way for the Player. Initially, the Records are interdependent. Record 2 can only exist if Record 1 exists. Over Time, you'll get another Clone And have 3 interdependent Records at your disposal. From half of the Game, that Dependency is removed. The Clones can now be recorded independently of each other and the Puzzles become more complex, as the Clones now also have to Help each other. Again, only 2 Records, later 3. And so you puzzle yourself through just under 4 Hours of Gameplay with an ever stronger Brain Mat, as later Puzzles become very Thinking intensive. Each Puzzle is limited to a small Area, which greatly improves the Overview, as you always have your Clones in View. These can also be seen as Silhouettes through Walls. In some Puzzles there are Enemies that can be defeated by means of a Laser Weapon. This can be fired by the Player himself or a Clone. However, the Opponents are not always perfect to assess, as they do not act exactly the same every time They play again. So They don't always aim for the same Clone, which does cause some Problems planning the Route. It would have been better without the Opponents, as I managed some Opponent Puzzles only by Luck, as the Opponents do not act predictably. Another Problem is emerging Agsynchronities. The longer you play the Game at a time, the sooner it can happen that the Clones no longer go their Route exactly. Then it can happen that they no longer step on the Switches or, since they have no Collision, just go through the Wall and fall to Nowhere. This is where a Reboot of the Game helps, but such a Problem can lead to Frustration when it appears at the End of a long Puzzle. Graphic The Graphic is nothing Special. Even the Level Design is not particularly Varied with only futuristic Laboratory Design. Nor is she ugly, either. In the Options, apart from the Resolution, nothing else can be adjusted in terms of the quality of the Graphics, so it always looks the same. Sound The Music, when it plays, is quiet and does not interfere with Reflection. Other Music would also have been more of a hindrance. Otherwise, you only hear the Running Sounds of yourself and the Clones while storing the Routes. The Audio Options didn't work on my Computer. The Selection Cursor was always an Option too high. So You didn't change the Value of the Cursor, you changed the Value underneath. However, even if you refrain from doing so, the Changes had no Effect on me and it was always at maximum Volume. Verdict Rewind has a very interesting Concept when Solving Puzzles. The 4 Hours can be played well in an afternoon evening and are fun all the Time. However, due to the Agsynchronicity Problem, you should restart the Game in between. This is Noticeable when the Clone Preview images start to jerk. Otherwise, Rewind is a good Game and recommended.
