(re)wind me up

a turn-based strategy game about getting back to the toy chest

made for brackeys game jam 2020.2

rules:

• your goal is to reach the purple
• every turn you gain one charge
• with a charge you can:
  • move one space to an empty adjacent tile (1 charge)
  • attack an adjacent enemy (2 charges)

• each turn you can (re)wind up, where you forfeit your move but gain an extra charge
• watch out! if an enemy is next to you on a turn they can kill you

controls:

• w, a, s, d or arrow keys to move
• to attack press the attack button + an arrow key (wasd)
• e to see the whole map
• p to pass your turn
• q to go back to level select
• r to reset the level
