Rise of the Ancients reviews

Gameplay Rise of the Ancients is a classic Tower Defense Game. You play several Missions in which the Opponent runs predefined Paths and you have to fend it off with Towers. In Principle simple, however, every Penny you have paid in this Game hurts. I am a great TD Lover and have almost all The TDs available on Steam. Some of them true Pearls and other pure Crap, however, this Game is one of those fighting for the last Place in my High score. After Only a few Minutes the Game annoyed me, but I forced myself to Play games as I hoped it will be better or to at least create a constructive Review until it unfortunately became too much for me. Positives-It ran fluidly and without Crashes negatives-The music annoys-The sounds are terrible-The Towers all look the same Except for their Color, have the same shot animation and Noise-There seem to be only 3 Towers (Ground, Air, slow down)-The Levels look As if they were created with a free Level Generator and stored at worst resolution with compression-The Menus look like someone came here with Paint and created a few Buttons in 5 Seconds-The Towers often don't let themselves be clean Moving when building, which remain hanging on invisible Walls (Many of them)-The Construction grid does not fit, so the construction Sites are partly far from the Path and partly close to it, but the Grid is invisible so that you have to test where you can build something-for Tower improvement and Ko fonts Tower graphics are terribly ugly-No wave Preview, making the Game more of a Test run Than a Strategy. The Levels are not heavy, the only thing you have to test first is that you usually need all the money for the Towers to improve and then suddenly come on a Side flight Units which you can not fend off or ground Units where previously 5 Waves long only flight came and You dadu rch has no towers there. As soon as you know which Units are coming, Stop There is possible without much Strategy-No Leaderboards, achievements, Collectible cards,....-Whether you survive with 5 or 1 Life, no matter since there is no Level Rating, there is only managed or not-much further Conclusion The Idea Was good but at the Implementation it hooks at all Corners and Ends. This Game is one of the Proofs that not only makes it easy to Be able to code something and know where to download something, but that a good Game takes a lot more Time. If you have graphically no Experience, you should sometimes go to simpler graphics and then give more Time in the Functionality.
