an animal or animals that have been struck and killed by motor vehicles on highways.

It has been estimated that a million animals die everyday from roadkill in the United States. Why does roadkill happen?

The rumble strips installed on roadways accumulate road salt which attract wildlife. Several drivers were also observed speeding up and positioning their vehicles intentionally to hit the animals.
