About

Get ready to take a trip back to the 80s, the 1880s!
Help young Queen Victoria fight her way across Mars and attempt to escape home in this exceedingly retro arcade adventure!
Created to look, feel and sound like an 8-bit styled videogame from the 1980s - Rock Boshers DX: Director’s Cut mixes top down and side on 8-way directional shooting action.

See amazing sights as you journey across Mars. Prepare to bosh rocks! - with only the occasional break for tea and scones.

RBDX is a 2D pixel drawn arcade action game, created as if made on an 8bit hardware (choose from either NES or ZX Spectrum visuals), but modernised with widescreen formatting, HD rendering and of course - no colour clash!

Authentic 8bit loading sounds and borders art!
Soldiers, zombies, giant bugs, tanks and more all try to block your progress.
Leaderboards to compete on and achievements to obtain.
Weapons to collect to help you escape the levels, such as Coal Rockets and Steam Lasers.
Hidden snacks to collect to unlock bonus arcade games.
4k and above rendering on PCs with the correct hardware/display.

Yes you can collect snacks hidden throughout the levels to unlock bonus arcade games such as:

- sees you chasing down a giant lump of Cheddar.

- is a mini spinoff from the DX version, where you must protect a milk pipeline under the sea.

- places you in the shadow of some ancient Martian pyramid as you dash to collect gems.

- lets you take to the stars in your very own space ship.

HISTORICAL ACCURACY.
Which other retro action game which lets you play as Queen Victoria, through a small chunk of 100% accurate history from an alternate universe? :D
You even get to meet Charles Darwin!

Rock Boshers DX: Directors Cut reviews and comments

It Is a short game in which you are a character with several weapons (usually only the normal gun, but you can use 3 more powerful weapons, and even use a tank) and you must find the output of each level, for which you must break/activate gears, open the way By closed doors which you must find the key, etc. It Has a completely retro-pixelated graphics (you can choose to view them as in a console or as a PC). While at first it's a walk, it increases in difficulty rather quickly, although it seems silly to the naked eye. As an incentive, in each level you have to find 3 items (a cheese, a cup of coffee and a hamburger) if you want to get 100% of the level. Besides, when you get those objects, you unlock some separate mini-games based on Pacman, the typical shoot em up, and some more. The game is short, has 24 levels only, divided into 3 parts. It lasted about four hours to complete everything. The game is entertaining, I recommend it, although better to wait for a low price or bundle, I would not catch it at full cost.

Interesting concept, but unworthy realization. Pros: + Retro Soundtrack in the spirit of those that many in our country have heard in different varieties of keygens. Name it seems chiptune; + Atmosphere and style ZX Spectrum. Special attention is worth the achievement, received for waiting for the download of the game-as long as in the 80s. There were no Magazines. But You can skip the download immediately after the splash screen. Cons:-A tight-Up hardcore for "millimitrists" (from the word millimeter). Miscalculated on half a cage-start the whole level anew. The Authors of the game have stolen in general a good concept of the game crappy gameplay, which is like nothing, but it is already on the 9th level is prohibitively complicated, and in the coupe and then repeatable and dull considering the circumstances that arise here. With a large number of attempts to play probably pass, as well as knock out, I believe, all but one achievement, because to collect all the "cookies" is very difficult, but the question here lies in another-and is it worth it? I think not. At the time of writing the review game passed 4.2% of players = > draw conclusions. The Levels here are not so much 3x8 = 24. -I understand, of course, that it is retro. But that the game can not be opened to the full screen... The Verdict is not recommended. Retro? Look for another game. The same Aqua Kitty: Milk Mine Defender try. From the same authors. Hardcore hard. Mostly hard. But that game can really go through and get pleasure from it. Took the game for 84 rubles. If you decide to take it, I recommend it only with a discount of 50-75%.
